Best-selling author, Ann D. Clark, Ph.D., is an accomplished motivational speaker, lecturer, and commentator. She is world renown for her innovative ideas and consultant to fortune 500 corporations, government entities and several hundred companies across the globe. Over the past 15 years, Dr. Clark has entertained and motivated audiences from small executive think tanks to the challenging 3,000 attendees at the San Diego Women’s Conference. She was named one of San Diego’s “Women Who Mean Business” by the San Diego Business Journal and received the “Bravo” award for excellence from the National Association of Women Business Owners.
Founder and CEO of ACI, a full-service international Employee Assistance Provider Dr. Clark has led her corporation to the nation’s Top Ten ranking of the largest EAP providers for its third year in 2005.
Dr. Clark received her doctorate from the University of Wisconsin and completed post doctorate research on Alcoholism and Sexuality at the University of New Mexico. She is one of the original Certified Employee Assistance Professionals (CEAP) in the country, Forensic Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist and member of numerous professional associations.
A prolific author and writer, her extensive published works include Citadel Press’ best-seller, Surviving Your Boss, Looking Good, Alone but Not Lonely, Surrender to Win and Single Parent Families.
Serving as a media consultant, her lectures, interviews and work have appeared in the Associated Press and featured on the Donahue Show. She has written for Glamour, Men’s Health and other national magazines and is a frequent guest of radio and television.
Following her graduation from college, Dr. Clark taught in the public school systems in Kentucky and Wisconsin. After completing her doctoral studies at the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Clark achieved the rank of Associate Professor and began her college teaching career. During this tenure, she was successful in receiving numerous federal grants and conducted significant research, in addition to teaching and publication. Dr. Clark’s accomplished professional record led to her appointment as Director of Education at the New Mexico Facility for the Mentally Retarded, and later as Statewide Director for Child Abuse Services, where she gained broad experience in both business and humanistic aspects of state service. Leaving a long career in teaching and human service, Dr. Clark worked in sales and marketing. She was introduced to the needs of large companies and their employees, and inspired to start an Employee Assistance company to respond to that market niche.
